I. How Gong Works at LinkedIn

1. Gong Records All Customer Interactions

 

Gong’s platform captures all customer interactions – calls and web conference meetings automatically. 

We then understand what’s being said in these calls and deliver insights on what’s being talked about

2. Gong Join Calls by Scanning Calendars

 

The Gong recorder will scan reps’s calendars for scheduled meetings. Then Gong will join those calls as a silent participant and start recording 

(This also means we only join meetings that have been scheduled in advance that the calendar invites that Sales Reps send out)

3. Delivers Insights That Help your Close Deals Quicker

 

You can find the actionable data from these calls on Gong’s platform. 

Simply head over to Okta and click on the Gong tile.

1. Connect Your Calendar To Gong

2. Ensure Your Calls Are Recorded

Head over to Gong (via Okta), go to My Profile (top right) and update your personal meeting room

Once logged into Gong, reps need to click on their name in the upper right of the Gong Screen > Settings > connect your calendar by authenticating with their O365 credentials.

3. Dive Into Your Calls!

Listening to your own calls will supercharge your ability to self coach and improve 

Gong makes it tag others on your call and ask for help when needed

Think of this as your personal fitness tracker for your sales skills. See your stats compared to the rest of your team

4. Learn the FAQs

  • If every participant opts in to call recording, then the meeting will be recorded by Gong
  • If one person opts out of the call recording, the Gong recorder will automatically be removed from the meeting to prevent call recording 
  • The meeting host can always remove the Gong recorder at any point to stop the call recording
  • The text and data protection policy can be customized
  • The text will automatically display in the participant’s language based on browser settings

Click the Gong tile in Okta to log into Gong > click your name in the upper right > Settings > connect your calendar by authenticating with your O365 credentials
